Copped. Ganesh statue. A couple of years ago Sam took an Indian Art and Architecture course, and was introduced to Ganesh (Ganesha). She in turn introduced me to Ganesh(a). While I am definitely a Christian, I respect other people’s beliefs, and find some of them down right fascinating. I’m not going to sit here and pretend to know all there is to know about Hinduism, or Buddhism, or any other “ism” for that matter, but I like what Ganesh(a) represents. The remover of obstacles. While I won’t be praying to Ganesh(a) whenever I’m faced with opposition, this statue serves as a reminder that no matter what, you will find.. no, MAKE a way. And if nothing more its a beautiful, iconic figure that looks cool as shit on my desk.
